The Prototype:

"The idea for this app came to me after my best friend reached out to me and mentioned that he was struggling after losing his friend to suicide. Mid-project my coworker took her own life, which strengthened my ambition for this app.

I feel that so many lives and addictions could be spared by proper diagnoses. I visited a psychiatrist in 2019 and remember criticizing the forms that I was asked to fill out due to how vague, confusingly worded, and degrading the surveys were. I also realized that so many diagnoses could be expedited by tracking trends ahead of time, much like how the period tracker app Flo aims to do."

Katie Sweet  Marketing and Content
"I have always been in my own journey in regards to my mental health. Even if I would consider myself miles ahead of where I once was after years of counseling and medication, I frequently think back to myself of yesteryear. I think of the hard things I have been through, the hard emotions I have felt, and the hard ways I dealt with all of them.

Frequently, I grieve for not only the aspects of myself I have lost to my struggles with mental illness, but for the connections with others--friends, family, even acquaintances that have been lost or irreparably broken."

Leona Liu  Content and Layout Design

“Although application designs are always limited in a little box of system & rules, we can still find a way to help other people (our users) in this such limited space. I want to help more people with mental disorders, and there are too few ways to provide urgent mental support to them.

As an person who previously suffered from a mental disorder, I personally feel application is more approachable, convenient, modern, and intimate compared to seeking help through a hotline. That's why I joined this group. In this way, it is easier for users to record their feelings per day, analyze the datas, and get diagnosed at the state when the situation is still positive.”

Ziran Zhou  Content and Layout Design

“This app means that I am able to help people who may be experiencing psychological problems. I know that psychological problems are everywhere, but many people can't find a way to quickly access medical help. Therefore, I decided to join the group and create this app in order to provide a convenient, easily accessible platform where they can easily log their moods, access relevant resources, and connect with professionals. I hope that this app can provide some comfort and support to those in need.”

App Icon Design: The Anchor

This icon presents a modern vector of an Anchor along with a pastel purple background to increase feelings of stability in relaxation in the user prior to opening. The anchor icon symbolizes stability and security, suggesting a grounded state of mind, where one feels rooted, stable, and connected, serving as a reminder of strength and resilience amidst life's challenges.
